Is American cookie cake same like we do here?

Recipe:
Get cookies shaped of square.
Dip cookies into coffee/milk and then put on some plate.
Add some kind of cream on the cookies.(For cream I prefer cocoa/vanilla tasted one)
Add another layer of dipped cookies.
Add cream/fruits/jam.(For fruits I prefer Banana/Strawberries)
Add another layer of dipped cookies.
Add some kind of cream on cookies.
And so it goes on, you can make it as high as you want to. :D
And cover the top with cream and decorate with fruits.
Put in fridge for at least 2 hours.
