Adding an emitter to a weapon?

This should get you started with all you need to know about emmiters. After that, I suggest looking at an add-on that has an emmiter that comes out of the barrel when it fires.

Ok...now...do you know how do make triangles on milkshape 3d?Im tring to make a square sword that has a poking part at the end...my cylinders allways come out weird...and I don't know how to make cubes into "pokes"
