Port Forwarding not working

i know there has been some posts on this lately. i looked through them and couldn't find answers so im posting one about it. I KNOW i did it right but my server shows up as dead i forwarded the right ports and everything. my router is a Siemens Gigaset SE567. my internet is Safari (i play on an imac). i tried turning off the firewall, but it wouldnt let me in. i think that might be the problem and was wondering if you knew how to let me in my firewall.

You have to make an "exception" using the firewall or disable it. Also, you must have forgot to set TCP/IP settings, the most common thing people forget to set.

my router sets things automaticly so i dont know about the ip or tcp settings. about my firewall, i have the mac firewall turned off but he router firewall is set on the lowest setting and it wont let me change it
