This is what ive been using to make nice cleaner faces..
(The sofware I use to create the faces is Adobe Photoshop CS4)

The hair looks just plain weird, like dripping slime, His mouth is way too rectangular, the face isn't even transparent. You should make the hair a color other than black, plus it's way too curvey.
