PCs pretty much become obsolete over the years and your pretty stuck buying newer ones or upgrades in order to keep up with market and times, but this isn't a problem if you use your money wisely and have a good job.

Cody574:

Just for future references, a Mac IS a PC (PC is the acronym for "personal computer," and I'm sure we all know that a Mac is a computer). It's really just a type of PC and operating system, Apple just wanted to come up with a crappy marketing campaign. Oh, and a PC isn't an operating system, it requires an operating system. Fail poll is fail.

Rename to Mac vs other operating systems. Now. :cookieMonster:

Well I see it this way, PCsWindows is probably the best OS there is IMO heres the reason for that. If you go off and buy an old PC from like 2005 then go off and buy a mac with a tower or just a regular mac with the monitor, keyboard and mouse;

Well lets say I want to upgrade to run a little faster I can easily go up on Newegg and order parts, but for mac can you really take it apart to upgrade? No, you'd have to go out and buy a new mac.

I would like to go out and try Linux from what my dad told me Linux is really cool and runs servers well. And I also here its free.

for me it would probably go:

1. Windows
2. Linux
3. Mac

What my plans are for each OS.

Windows: Everyday OS on main PC.
Linux: Everyday OS when main PC becomes obsolete; Use on Netbooks.
Mac: When I want something different or more stable.
