--- Quote from: yuki on September 13, 2009, 02:11:53 PM ---Whenever I see a movie, I always note that they never show an OS, its just "magic government systems". --- End quote --- its hard to have any cool computer stuff in movies. in a few short years it can look totally handicapped and comical. i gag whenever i see one of the investigators on CSI give us a bunch of computer lingo and come up with a new lead for the case. like good job calling your 8 year old kid to google that for you. you richard. hope you earned that promotion back at the department. |

Yet for some reason, they use them as the basis of everything we do. 100 people apparently mean the same result for 1,000,000 people. The math is obviously flawed. |

--- Quote from: rkynick on September 13, 2009, 02:08:41 PM ---I get the feeling that the people in Mac commercials that decide to go with Mac because it "has less viruses and is more stable" are the same people who believe the sun revolves around the earth(about 15% of Americans) --- End quote --- Regarding this Mac ad in particular Mac markets in a way that makes the target audience believe that it is easier to use and less suseptible to viruses. Of course there are more viruses for windows since more people use it. Mac would have that same ass load of viruses if the virus makers saw it as a way to get their virus out to the majority of people. Regarding crashing and BSODs, I've never gotten a BSOD in my history using windows and I very rarely crash. The people experiencing this need to run some loving anti virus or something. --- Quote from: Rughugger on September 13, 2009, 02:16:35 PM ---Well we all know that these statistics are based off of such an insignificant amount of pollers that the results based on a large scale population would be horribly inaccurate.
