when the cold war was escalating the soviet russians built a wall called the berlin wall tearing the east part of germany from the west part of germany,
so ronald reagan made a speech at that wall and said quote: "General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"
