Jupiter hit by earth-sized object

Let's not forget Jupiter is near entirely gaseous, so that not a hole, but clouds drifting of gas apart from the projectile's tearing through the atmosphere.
It could be even smaller than we think.

Then we'd all die anyway from inhalation.
Jupiter might also burst into flames from the scattered but great heat on Earth.
