Pretty awesome. Though some of the people here are poor judges.
A real artistic judge doesn't judge based on the content, but based on the effort and how good it is based on what style and genre it is.
I find it appealing. Though maybe you should consider making something not based on another image, and create your own.
The fact that you stated there was a reference image, I'm correct to assume you didn't make the reference. It's against the rules to give a rating when you don't ask for one, but I'm sure based on this last paragraph, you would understand what I would be aiming for.
