Wii disc drive is busted.

Mine fell the same distance and landed on carpet, with the wires slowing down the fall.
The thing barely tapped the floor, and it has since stopped reading discs.

This same thing happened to me because my friend's idiot little sister knocked my Wii of a shelf. I sent it into Nintendo and paid to fix it but it's ok because the stupid little girl had to pay for it.
