Author Topic: So called, "Server Abuse."  (Read 4307 times)

Server abuse is like child abuse. first it starts with spanking, and before you know it, rape.

There's a difference.

1) You live with your kids.

2) What you do will affect the in the long run.

3) You see them everyday. Unlike banning a noob and never seeing them ever again on your server.

Wow, you are more serious then I am half the time.

You need to be able to take constructive criticism. I agree that people can say annoying things like "OMG THIS SUX NOT FAIR!!1!!eleven!!1", but if some one is saying something constructive like "Both teams should get the same weapon" or "The forts are too far apart", you should consider there advice. Fixing the problem might stop noobs form complaining too.

Ok, rky beat me too it.

Yeah, that is constructive criticism. I meant people complaining admin's f8 balls, and other stuff I said above.

Complaining about f8 balls means your cheating. (unless you're f8ing around to build, but then people probably won't complain)

Hang around my server and you'll see what I'm talking about...

Tom

I've been to servers with cheating admins, I know what you're taking about.

That's the loving point.
Inorite. Do you just insert swear words (in which case you're an internet tough guy, well done) or did I do something wrong? (I don't think I did)

2) I used that because Jorgur's is a popular server that is always filled to the max. If you think I took the offensive there, you are handicapped.
When you say that yours is better than someone else's, you are also inferring that theirs is worse.

So yes, it is an offensive move.

If I say, for example, "My cheeseburgers are better than mcdonalds!" I'm promoting my cheeseburgers and putting down mcdonalds' cheeseburgers. I am not using mcdonalds cheeseburgers as a point of reference, that would be stupid when used in cases that are subject to opinion.

Look Maximum, why don't you just shut up and stop complaining about the friends in blockland. This board is to fix problems, not whine about them.

Wait, wait, wait.... Did I say mine was better?

According to the players, my dogfights are better then Jorgur's. I usually have a ratio of 35 players when I host a dogfight.

Hmmm. I didn't say that, I said the players said that. The ratings are higher than Jorgur's.

If you don't agree with what the host is doing, gtfo!

I just did....

Tom

I really doubt your players said that if you have so many people complaining.

This board is to fix problems, not whine about them.
You're kidding me, right?

nitpick
I don't see your point. Are you saying nitpicking makes you an internet tough guy?

What's that Lassie? Timmy nitpickedfell down the well?
The ratings are higher than Jorgur's.
Thus you are saying yours is better.

You have to understand that this is biased. I.e.(that is) you are only asking the people in your server, and they are there because they don't want to be in Jorgur's. So you are specifically asking only the people who like yours better, thus you are rigging the poll, thus you are personally saying that yours is better.
