Logitech Headset Problems
NickTheSushi:
I had to get a new headset since one of the earbuds had been snapped off and it was the only one had worked (my left earbud blew out). This new headset would be nice, if it wasn't constantly playing an assload of static when I'm doing anything, even when I'm just sitting at my desktop. Anyone know how I could fix this piece of crap before I sell it and get a new one?
Also, it's a ClearChat Pro USB Headset by Logitech

I've had two of those, both times I tripped on the excessively long USB cable and ripped it apart. The first one I managed to solder back together, but it broke several more times, so I just gave up on soldering.

Pretty mucb exactly what happened to me, me and my dad (:P) soldered it back and it held for a while but then it just went kaput.

Man, I don't know why everybody goes toward headsets. Most of them have minimal sound quality and really break pre-maturely. I'm getting a studio mic and a nice pair of headphones. I can record and talk in crystal clear quality for much longer than the life of a headset!
