me and my friends all picked underwater basket weaving, we figured it was a joke of course, but it was our fav teacher so we didn't care.

turned out to be a poetry class, was super gay

wait how does underwater basket weaving turn into a poetry class?

I've actually tried underwater basket weaving, although I can't basket weave above water so it didn't really work out.

I put my own spin on the sport to make it Olympic ready:

First, you would be chained to a crane with a giant weight on your leg. You'd be given an air tank with 1 minute of air and all the basket materials you would need. The crane would lower you into the water. The moment you are totally submerged you may begin weaving a regulation size basket. This event would take place at night and random strobe lights would be placed around the area to try and distract you. A pit of lava is at the bottom of the area, which you are slowly being lowered into. You have 3 minutes before you are totally submerged in lava (5 ft. per 1 min.).

After you finish your basket before you hit the lava, a key will be dropped in front of you. You may only catch the key with your basket or the chain will be cut and you will fall into the lava. After you catch the key, you must unlock both the weight and the chain and swim up to the top. Easy enough? Wrong.

While you were busy making the basket, officals were putting sea monsters in the water. You must fight your way up without harming your basket. If you make it up to the top with an unharmed basket, you are given all 3 medals. If anyone else completes it also, you must fight them in a 1-on-1 deathmatch using only spoons.
