I think anybody is right about you not having the keys bound to anything. Open to options menu and click on the controls tab. Look down the list of controls and make sure everything has a key next to it. If something doesn't have a key, double click on it and press what ever key on your keyboard you want to perform that action.

Example: If you want shift to make you crouch, double click crouch and press shift.

Hit default controls.

to get to the options menu, hit esc on your keyboard. then a menu with player list, options, admin munu, load bricks ect. hit options. after you hit options, there are tabs at the top, find and click on the controls tab. and then do wat dr. block said:
