They're each colored specifically for the corresponding flare light. I set them up as one set ambient, one set flare only, because having both the light and the flare in a single datablock discolors the flare, and 9 times out of 10 I don't want the light emitted to come directly from its apparent source anyway. This also makes it possible to have many flare-only lights that don't interfere with other emitting/ambient lights. See the fourth image in my last post. I typically use 4x4s or 8x8s on top of large baseplates if that surface is going to be final. |

So the base of the area is emitting an ambient light, while the actual light-posts emit the flare to top off the illusion? And what do you mean by "not completely white, and not completely colord?" Are they just somewhere in between the actual color you want, and white? |

Are they just somewhere in between the actual color you want, and white? --- End quote --- No, what I mean is no 1 1 1 shenanigans no 0 1 1 shenanigans There's 1 0.8 0.65, and 0.75 0.92 1, and so on. they have subtle differences, they're not a specific color. they are colored specially for the unique flare image they use. by being different, but relatively subtly so, they look nicer. ALSO HEY GUYS The lights were just approved on RTB. |
