Author Topic: Ping is dead?  (Read 2416 times)

If you want to join your own dedicated server, you have to query LAN instead of Internet.

Hey! I'm trying to run a dedicated INTERNET server, not a LAN server!
Even so, nothing shows up in the LAN list.

This is insanity. Forum posts are meant to be READ, people. If you knew what the hell was happening, your posts wouldn't be counted as irrelevant. -_-

A dedicated INTERNET server is a LAN server for you...

If I was running a dedicated LAN server, it WOULDN'T be showing up in the Internet query with a dead ping, and it WOULD show up in the LAN query, UNLIKE the dedicated Internet server.

And that is why you launch a INTERNET dedicated server. For other people it works on the INTERNET but for you a server hosted from the same household is a LAN server.

FYI; LAN = Local Area Network. Even if no other person is able to join your dedicated INTERNET server(inproper portforwarding, etc, etc. Not saying that you have done so.), you will be able to join it.

You know what, I'm just about to say forget this, lockify this thread, and trash my hopes of starting an online server. This forum is probably the worst site for help and support I've seen - even Roblox's forgeted-up help system was better than this.

I LAUNCHED a loving Internet server, it showed up as DEAD, and NOTHING showed up in the LAN query. I was NOT able to join it because it was loving DEAD.

Protocol should be TCP/UDP

Did you give it enough time to boot up? If no, please do so. If yes,
try to host a non-dedicated server for a hour or so, if no one joins.

= You didn't porforward correctly.

NO stuff (again)
That's what I'm asking for help with! What the hell is wrong with you people? It keeps giving me an error when I try to forward it!

You need to use your static ip addres, if you do know what that is you should goto "http://www.portforward.com" and find out how to portforward Blockland for your router.

Also if the ip addres "192.168.1.45" isn't working might be that is not your actual static ip, or that you have a wireless connection and a wire one on the same static ip wich could lead into a error.

DID YOU READ ANY OF MY loving POSTS?! THAT IS NOT MY loving PROBLEM!!

With attitude like that, none of your problems will be fixed.

Well, if you're going to spew out a page and a half of irrelevant information, that should be expected!

Well? Does anyone know why the hell my router is giving me errors?
