AMD or Intell?

Nick4t:

Well I am getting a new Desktop computer but I don't know if I should get an AMD Desktop or an Intel Desktop. I'm getting this computer mostly for gaming but also for multimedia (Fireworks 8 and stuff). Also, if anyone knows a good website for buying PC's that would also be helpful, it just can not be Dell and has to be under $500.

D3ATH:

I've never had Intel, but I am pleased with AMD.

Bisjac:

I never cared about cpu. i end up using whatever one goes into the mobo i want. that's where all the features really are, alot more important to have what you want in the motherboard.

General Nick:

Intel is alright, but AMD has a sort of wider range of choices and may be cheaper in some cases.

My Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 has yet to let me down <3
I had an AMD processor before, was a good one. Only single-core and 2.2 GHz though, so being slow was not a problem just that its old.

Godik7:

From a lot that I've researched, Intel will have more performance but AMD will last longer.

I choose AMD. And I'm happy with it. :)
