Ping does not match?

Well, today, i joined my friends server and i crashed when i got to the D in datablockls. On the second attempt to join the server, i got a glimpse of the console and what i think night be the problem. It sais, "Warning: ping does not match"
I have a laptop and i'm wondering if it could be sending the info to ny home computer? What is up with this?

That always happens with the join server screen. It's not that.
