Formatted Flash Drive Recovery

Cheemo:

My flash drive was formatted, here is how it happened:
I inserted my 8GB Flash Drive into the laptop I was using at the moment, and as usual, entered my password into the U3 password gui. "Password Incorrect." I attempted the password again, and the same thing happened. Trying the same thing multiple times, it got to the point of telling me I only had 3 chances until it would permanently close. I used up all three chances, failing. It then locked down, telling me I had to use an "erase" button to clear the u3 settings. I used it, and nothing seemed to happen. So, I clicked cancel. I then found out I had CAPS LOCK ON. I felt like an utter idiot.

tl;dr My flash drive was formatted, and I need someone to help me.

I use a flash drive for pretty much everything computer-related that I do, so this is incredibly bad for me. So, could anyone help?

If you really need the files, I think that you could try some form of data recovering software, google it. Other than that, I would suggest to post here in the Miscellaneous Computer Talk section, there are some people there who know what they are doing.

Please only use that forum for data recovery and not..other things. I know you will, hehe ;)

Cheemo:

Thanks, I'll probably use those forums. I currently have a recovery program running right now, hopefully it will work.

TapeDeck:

Just don't put any files on it until you recovered everything.

Cheemo:

Ugh, the recovery actually wasn't a recovery. It was some bullstuff shareware demo that didn't do anything. Hopefully, this one I found will be better :\

EDIT: No, it wasn't. I'll use the forums tomorrow.
