Look it up. The Dvorak tried to replace QWERTY, and that would've pissed a lot of people off if it did because people were so used to it. But, it failed because of those reasons.

I hate SMF forums.

70% of typing is in the center row of the keyboard. That's the main advantage of learning it.

That being said, I'm not going to bother. QWERTY is too common to replace as of now, so there isn't a point wasting your time on a new layout. As Packer said, you can't use it away from home.

You could try learning both, but in my opinion, that would get tricky. Not the actual learning of both, but getting used to being able to do both. If that made sense. What I mean is, I could learn both, and if I set up my keyboard to Dvorak, then I could learn Dvorak, I'd also know Qwerty from my current keyboard. But no doubt, the moment I were to get off of a Dvorak keyboard, and onto a Qwerty one, I would lose all speed, due to being so used to Dvorak. Or Vice-Versa.

Really, I could only learn both, and use both, if I were constantly using both. Like, switching over from Qwerty one day, and Dvorak the next

More-On-Topic; Again, in my opinion, Dvorak looks really complicated and/or cluttered. It just doesn't look like it would be comfortable to use, but no doubt that you could get used to it in time.

I haven't used one yet. Are they worth it?
