I run GIMP and Inkscape on Ubuntu because the performance boost is enough to justify installing a second operating system just for them.

What the forget? Seriously, get smrts, please. Performance isn't determined in an OS, it could be slower because of the PC. Also, really, Wedge? I should check that out.
