Couble just buy a new computer for that.  The problem is, if I have to reformat, I've got some files on there that I don't wat t lose but I don't know how to get them off if I can't start windows.
SuperToxic:
1. Get a Linux install disc and overwrite your Windows installation
2. Overwrite your Linux installation with a clean install of your Windows version
3. ???
4. Profit
DrMobius:
Thanks for the help guys. I'm still right where I started with no loving clue how to fix it.

Called a friend.  The problem was that some of the system files were corrupted.  We put the hard drive into another computer with a working version of windows and the working version fixed mine.  After that, I ran system restore and everything works fine now.
