Background music on my desktop?

Can WMP play it in the background when i start the computer, keep repeating the song/songs, pause whenever I open a new program?What I want is kinda like...attaching songs to my desktop so they play when I am "looking" at the desktop, when a program opens over the desktop it pauses...

No you have to open up the program
press repeat
and press pause 0.o ( I know how much hard work that requires) When you open a program.

You can put web pages and images on your desktop in XP.
Web pages can play music.
