Do NOT touch the folders. Only touch ZIPs.
The folders that are not zipped are downloaded from a server for models and textures. They should not be touched, nor can they be converted into an add-on.

When you download something, just put it in your add-ons folder, and then, DO NOTHING TO IT.
Try that.

If you've been to any servers, you'll find there are some regular folders in your Add-ons folder. These are purely to allow you to use that add-on on another server, and cannot be modified to be used on your server. You must download add-ons from the internet to use them on your server.
