Should I spend the next 2 years in extremely intense guitar practice?

Thorax:

I'll play accordion!

On-Topic: Don't give up all your free time! You should just practice more than you normally do (2-3 hours) and have a marathon practice once a month. It would be silly to put all your time into something you don't know will go well.

Jsk2003:

My choir director told me that in a college you could get a degree in whistling.

well occasionally I'll direct record practices or songs I'm writing so I can comb over them when I can't practice, if I get off my lazy butt I might post one.

Hazard:

I gave up guitar. Took me 5 years to realize how much I didn't enjoy it. Now I put all of my focus into playing drums which I'm WAY better at (not that I'm bad at guitar. I'm descent). I might start playing bass. I like the simplicity of only hitting one note.

5 hours is a little overkill.
