Clientside F8/spy script

Kyzor:

No, I am not requesting this, I am requesting that there be a script that renders these so-called "F8/spy scripts" unusable. I have had at least 5 people join my server and say that they have it, and use it, and I'm sure many others have joined and used it, but just not told me about it. This concerns me because #1, the "Drop Camera at Player" and "Drop Player at Camera" functions are supposed to be admin-only, and #2, if they are supposed to be admin-only, then there should be a script to counteract this because non-admins should not be able to do this. Is this possible, and did I arise the issue soon enough to have a counteracting script in v13 of Blockland?

Tezuni:

I don't think its actually using the admin only commands.  It sounds like its hacky though.  Makes me think of camera events...

Space Guy:

The "Drop Player at Camera" function is not usable via these scripts, only the camera features.

In any case, your server is sending the data of everything to players. You cannot stop them changing their viewpoint to anywhere they like.

Unless you try that method Blockland: Source wanted for UBER AWESOME PHYSICS and basically send a cinematic image to people (horribly laggy) instead of brick positions/data.

Kyzor:

I see. But it would be nice to have some sort of script that doesn't send the /spy function (or the like) to non-admins.

Space Guy:

It doesn't. The one I know of uses completely client-sided commands to simulate the same thing that /spy does, with no server communication.
