I wrote this when I was kind of down, thinking about my life in general and how much stuff it contains versus all my friends have been through and how they think it's so bad and get suicidal because some needy cigarette girl broke up with him.
I'm blinking
I'm feeling
I can't see through the dark
You said you loved me, but then confessed you'd never start
You left me broken in a heap
Of my ash and my tears
You left me alone
Being alone is what I fear
I am hungry
I am thirsty
For a drop of your love
You are the one thing I could never get sick of
Step off your pedestal
Let me talk for a minute
You shot me down
You think you can win it
You think you won this fight
You think you won this war
What you haven't realized
You're the same as before
You're a heartbreaker
You destroyed my world
All I see is a demon
I used to see a great girl
There used to be a spot
Deep in my heart
But now I am so glad
