This is because setup files(most of them) have to unpack files to temp folder to install them, but you probably aren't administrator, so you get this error. |

Run the installer as an administrator. Check that it's even compatible, the file directories are all messed up in Windows Vista. |

Running it using msiexec /i {file loc} /quiet didn't throw any messages up, But as its on quiet mode, I have no idea if its even working :P |

PROTIP: Many Windows XP games are more compatible with the x86 Architecture of Windows Vista. Like: Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 Civilization 3 Mall Tycoon and other ones I'm too lazy to post. |
