You mean the part where it was a basic rip off of coke because at the time coke was the only commercial drink not owned by pharmacist?
Coke later on, trying to compete with pepsi changed the ingredients which was hated because it was so similar to pepsi. They changed it back with the new term of classic coke which is where we get that name.

Fun fact: Coke used to actually have cocaine in it, till they outlawed it.

With the above post, another thing that law done away with was the use of rotten tomatoes in the making of ketchup which was originally made to store old/rotting fish in japan for later use.
