Meteors from space has impacted earth carrying giant alien bugs that inhabitited the cities forcing humanity under ground.

I'm getting tired of this. I'll just spill the beans on the Bug story. :|

Some time in the year 2013, nuclear power gets really poplar. So much so that the humans have to find a way to dispose of all the extra nuclear waste . They tried several things, but eventually decide to  just put it all deep in the earth. Then three years later (2016) an unexpected meteor storm began smashing earth with millions of watermelon-sized meteorites,causing earthquakes. Thinking their underground home was being threatened, millions of bugs, all mutated from the nuclear waste, headed strait for the surface.

And there you have it! (mostly) This is only the Bug story though, NOT the RPG story.

Actually, the bugs aren't very much smarter then normal bugs. They just find out that humans make a perfect snack food. D:  There aren't any aliens at this point in the story, they come later.

For some reason this reminds me of the part in halo 3 were the floods help you for a second to destroy the Brute's Leader.
