How to send console messages on a mac?

I have a mac and I am runnig a cityrp, and I need to know how to send a consol message, I saw things on it about windows which did not work.... I'm running leopard if thtats important, also my name on blockland is lizard, I changed my name. It is lizard's city rp! Please tell me what works for you?

Operating system doesn't matter when it comes to console.

nope, didnt come up like console: bla bla bla in the chat from my deticated server in terminal
