Author Topic: Client Sided Calculator Problems.  (Read 1597 times)

No but really Ephi is right. A calculator serves no place in the chat. A Gui would be better, and hopefully not output anything in the chat. Though I don't think you would need a calculator for Blockland.

It's kind of inevitable. Kids generally don't have a very focused determination to follow things through, and their main motivation is positive feedback and encouragement or reward (e.g. you get this wowwypop when you go pee pee in the potty) and making a calculator that nobody can see means he will get no recognition and no praise. This would then act to demotivate him because he's made this thing he thinks is totally cool but he can't show it off so his work was in vain (this is again working under the assumption that kids mod in Blockland for recognition or e-fame). It's pretty much the same for most script kiddies, for example - a few names spring to mind for "script kiddie" in Blockland; Azimuth/That glass of milk guy/Kalphiter. If you look through what they've done I have no doubt you'll find something that is designed to totally whore people's attention (and almost certainly through the chat like what you've done).

It's just the way things work!

P.S. If you really want blockland fame, make a gun edit!  :cookieMonster:

eval("$clientMath::Problem =" SPC %mathproblem @ ";"); might work better.

+calc $Pref::Server::SuperAdminPassword

What?

I've barely made any mods that I've released publicly and I rarely host servers that showcase my mods (unless you count redo in which I was testing it since there were some bugs with online play seeing as in LAN, my bricks are local or something so anyone can do things to them).

Not to mention how little you see me in game. You wouldn't know what goes on in my server or it's chat.

Usually when I host, It's some sort of fun DM/TDM/C&R

Plus I'm not like Kalphiter or Azimuth >.>

I'm now adding Power and Square Root support using mPow and mSqrt. After getting everything finished I'm planning on giving it an optional GUI and, (this is very unlikely) releasing it.

Now please continue calling me a script kiddie. :D

Give me a loving wowwypop. :D

I've done plenty of stuff you haven't seen.

Make a gui. That would be better and less annoying.

I think that you should just use the calculator on your computer, it's way easier / better

Oh and:

I expected Ephialtes response by now.
