marcem's right, i knew nothing about computers |
| Marcem:
Go away, you know NOTHING about computers. Stop thinking that you know something, and actually take the 10 minutes to learn about them. I didn't know a NORMAL CORD was old fashioned! A computer's specs aren't based on OS edition. Windows is made by Microsoft only. He doesn't even have a freaking PCI-e to be seen! So yes, he should get a new PC, but he should build it, if he wants a good price for good performance. |

--- Quote from: carolcat on September 07, 2009, 09:35:24 PM ---My basic points(don't say I don't know anything about computers cuz my dads an engineer and i was playing on a computer since i was 2-I also hacked into his computer when I was 4) What do you mean by "hacked" into his computer? Brute force the administrator password? That's not hard. 1.RAM-You have plenty. 2.I use Windows Home Edition and it runs good Windows is not a specific operating system. It is an entire series. Do you mean XP home edition, Vista home edition, or what? 3.Yes,your computer is in perfect condition for an upgrade. He didn't provide enough information to assume this. 1 question-when did you purchase this computer? The cords are slightly old fashioned, but I belive that they can hold up to a graphics card upgrade. Those cords coming from the power supply unit are the same type found in most every computer. Same goes for the CPU fan power cable. If you desire to do so,based on my information, you can decide to get a new computer. If you want a very good one,I would suggest a Windows Proffesional. He doesn't want a new computer; all he wants is an upgrade. Again, Windows Professional is not an operating system. The school that I help out in uses this brand and it is much better than the one I currently have. Windows Professional is not a brand. Of course,my computer is a 2004 model so it would not be the same. But,overall, you are still clear in the runway for a brand new,and probably well needed graphics card upgrade of a new computer. HE DOESN'T WANT A NEW COMPUTER. I know that I need a new graphics card with how old my computer is. That's about all you know. With the following information equipped to you,you may now choose what you want to do. --- End quote --- koolkody12, disregard everything this loving idiot has said. |
