So, my 16th birthday is coming up this month (woot woot), and I'm asking for a laptop that costs a mere $400. My parents have already told me they absolutely will not get it for me. I even offered, hell, I want to pay for half of it. But no. They want to be a couple selfish douche bags and say that they want to get a "family computer", which I already know they'll divide and conquer as theirs, so it'll be the good ol', "Get off the computer! I need to use it, it's not yours anyway!" to which I respond with "But you said it's a 'family' computer." and they'll say something along the lines of "When the hell did we say that? We NEVER said that, now get off!" What the forget. This is bullstuff. I don't even want to play games on the one I'm asking for, I need it for school. But no, they don't want me to have my own little "netbook", as my dad calls it, because they think I'll start looking up research, which I never have and never will do. And how old are you? Because as stated, I'm loving almost 16 and they think it's too much to ask for something that's $1000 less than the original one I wanted, which was a Toshiba Qosmio and it costs $1400. Let's see. $1400 versus $400..... Srsly. |
