More Progress
I finished adding in the functionality for joining a friend's server. It has to make an additional request on the master server and the chat server in order to figure out whether a password needs to be supplied which makes it take a little longer than I'd like, but it works nonetheless. I spent a bit of time implementing logging into the chat server to log errors, connections and general activity appropriately, too.
I'm considering starting the beta once the chat side of things is working. The info and chatroom features are the two things that would be missing from the initial beta but once I confirm that the server actually works acceptably with a bunch of people using it I'll then integrate those features as part of beta updates. So the priority now is the chat functionality.
MegaScientifical:
I know figuring out if a server is passworded is due to not every server having RTB, but just to be sure: If a server does have RTB, it is pre-listed as passworded through some means so it doesn't have to do an extra connection? Was thinking it could be part of the general data.
Edit: Oh, unless it's about non-instantaneous updating to say the server is now passworded? Still might help to list it instead of always forcing the extra connection.

I've said before this is a thread where I post updates on Development of RTB. It's not a place where people suggest things they think would make everything work better.
It's immediately obvious that you don't have an understanding of how RTB works so I have no idea why you're trying to suggest improvements.

Will you be reopening beta any time soon?
