V4 Alpha 5 is now out, just contains the Mod Manager migrated over from v3. I've started putting together the server-side code for chat rooms and once that's all tested and moderately stable I'll put together the client half and throw out another alpha. Still debating whether to get rid of content downloading entirely. The new file repository seems to solve most of the issues Content Downloading resolved like the downloading of bricks/skies/textures so I'm not sure there's a need for it anymore. I'll have a chit chat with Badspot and see what we come up with. |

I say you ditch it. The content downloading thing is pretty well useless now. When you join a server, the files in your add-ons folder aren't checked. Only the ones in cache.db. So you'd end up doing all the RTB Content downloading, then re-downloading each of the individual files. |

I got a new idea for the V4. Make an "All" button on the Music Files tab, when getting ready to start a game. Because, I have a lot of music. And when I want my server to be default, I make music default, and click "None". And when I want to add all my Music Add-ons, I have to check, each individual music file. Which takes me 5 minutes, which I hate. Nobody ever thinks, fixing little things like that, could just be much easier to work with. |
