your going to get shot whether your armed or not. plus you have a hiding start, and the night time gives you some extra coverage. so man up, or wear some heavy coats. once again, your going to get shot either way :P

But you can't shoot back. If you're in a war, do you run into the battlefield unarmed, because "You're going to get shot anyway"?

No. That's never a good idea. You don't run right at a guy aiming a 9mm at you, same with any gun.
