"ghosts"

Hey, if someone could please tell me what ghost means in GMOD?
I went on a server with only four people, and I soon found out why there were so few. When you spawned you were instantly hit by a spinning pole, and when I started jumping over it to get off the cement and onto the grass, 4 people with revolvers would shoot me.
After I tried a few more times I asked them why they kept killing me.
Dippindots: Why are you doing this?
Egon: find another server bro
Dippindots: What's wrong with this one?
Egon: You are a ghost
Dippindots: ?
Egon: bustin 4 lyfe (this was how he spelled it)
Then I got banned for one hour.
So what the forget does ghost mean? I'm kinda pissed off about it.

Well that makes sense. I was thinking that it was slang for something in GMOD, but hey, that works.
