Visible hitscans

Would it be possible to make a hitscan visible? Like, just making reference to Halo, not suggesting it, but the Beam Rifle? I think that would be epic for new weapons.

I swear I just posted in this topic... I guess not. Couldn't you have the hitscan and a projectile fire at the same time?

Whatever. Just making a reference, as I said, not a suggestion. Nor could I actually do this. Just putting an idea out there.
