9-11? What?

--- Quote from: Green Link on September 10, 2009, 08:17:05 PM ---September 11th otherwise called Patriot Day is not a holiday to remember the horrible tragedy that took place on this day, but it is to celebrate how the country came closer together and became a lot more patriotic. Patriot day is a day to show love for your country.
--- End quote ---
Patriotism is simply thoughtless belief in your government, essentially a country-wide bandwagon.
Doomonkey:
Why couldn't you guys help me out in the other topic. You all are saying what I was saying.
Packer:
Its to remember all those innocent people who were killed, much like ANZAC for Aus and NZ because we had our own D-day that didn't go so well.
Kalphiter:
2993 died(including the 19 noobs that hijacked the plane) + 1 died from later illness

I see it as this. If your grandpa died 8 years ago, you wouldn't still be crying about the day he died. But the fact that people say "oh yea, INSERTFAMILYMEMBERHERE died today, lets honor it" is stupid. Honoring said occasion to try to alleviate the pain only makes it worse.
--- End quote ---
If you were sitting at the TV on September 11th and a family member was in the WTC, you'd understand.
So think about this; if you had a family member that died on the 11th, would you honor them, or toss their death aside like an old tissue?
You decide.
