at first i did think 911 was horrible then it got bothersome that they kept saying how bad it was and I'm not saying people are stupid for thinking 911 was tragic, i just think that we should move on. |

--- Quote from: StarHawk on September 11, 2009, 03:42:00 PM ---Those people in both World Wars knew what they were going in to, richard head. The victims of 9/11 were just innocent workers who expected that day to be just another day in the office at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. That's not to say that I don't feel bad for the World War veterans, but seriously, who deserves more sympathy, the soldiers who went to war knowing that they faced possible death, or the average people like you and me who had no idea? And for the record, if I mourne anyone from WWII, I mourne the victims of Pearl Harbor and the innocent Japanese who had nukes dropped on their heads. --- End quote --- What are you talking about? A LOT of people were DRAFTED against their will into war, teens who didn't know how to fight or shoot. Same with Vietnam, and even more teenagers died on that battlefield, a long way from home with no idea why they were fighting. Sure, killing civilians is not something that can go by, they were innocent and obviously didn't deserve to get their stuff wrecked, but don't be so ignorant about the people that died in the war. These civilians were murdered, the Soldiers died for the good of the free world, to preserve your freedom (Vietnam can be argued, but forget you on calling out WWII). I'll honor the Soldier, who served the people, who protected the people, and died for the people. Not the innocents who died in an attack for no reason, or even for the people on the planes who could have stopped the whole thing from even happening. I don't honestly know what happened on that plane (probably a lot of praying, and not a lot of fighting), but the terrorist pilots were obviously in good enough condition to fly it into a building, which means there was a severe lack of ass-kicking on our part (Weren't the terrorists armed with knives?). To summarize my stance: Stop dwelling on it, get the forget over it. |

Heres the difference: War is needed so they were valiant for serving out country but 9/11?! THOSE MOTHER forgetERS CRASHED PLANES INTO A BUILDING WITH MILLIONS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE THAT DID NOTHING TO THEM! that's NOT OK at ALL like in Iraq if they die its because they SERVED US thoose people in the towers? forget NO! THEY ALL GOT SLAUGHTERED FOR NO REASON AT ALL! |

It was Terrorism. Not some loving national socialist with a MP40 shooting like a mad man. Please, go Re-learn history class before you start saying 9/11 wasn't even important at all. It was the most tragic act of Terrorism that we've ever seen. tl;dr Read it. |

I feel bad for the people that lost family and friends due to 9/11, but what about the countless lives the US military has taken? How many innocent lives were lost in Nagasaki and Hiroshima? What about the lives being lost in the middle east due to US invasion? It's hard to be sympathetic. |
