GarageBand - anything like it?

Kyzor:

I was just wondering if there's any software out there that's similar to GarageBand, but for the PC (besides Audacity). It's an amazing program and I kinda need it for a project. Any ideas?

MtnDew:

Nothing that's free.

Fruity Loops now called FL Studio
Sony Acid (http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/products/acidfamily.asp) -- more loop based
Cakewalk Music Creator or Sonar Home Studio  -- more track based
Mackie Tracktion 2 (http://www.mackie.com/products/tracktion2/) - more track based

I got that from a simple google search.

Learn2Google pls.

Kyzor:

Wow, thanks. I've heard of Sony Acid, can't say the same for the others.

If I listed all the searches I tried on Google, two words: page stretch.

He didn't want you to list them. He wanted you to use google instead of creating a topic.

I use this and it's great. You'll need some musical knowledge though because it involves proper composition, not just sticking preset loops together.
