Do your homework on the bus or during school, I've been doing that since like 4th grade and I'm in 10th. And if you don't finish it there and don't want to do it at home, do it in the morning on the bus.
For me I get on first in the morning (1 hour to get to school, it's not far but we pick-up like 503492304923049 kids) and I get off first in the after noon (on the bus for 6ish minutes), but also in school, in my 4th period there's "RTI" time which is like an extra 30 mins to finish homework you didn't do or homework you just got, so I've got a pretty badass set-up in the sense that I can get on the computer as soon as I come home.
EDIT: Ride the bus if you don't want to get home at 8.
