Been thinking about re-birthing, but Do you get to keep your hair/special features, or do you have to buy a card from that point on?

If you mean free rebirth, yeah, you can't even change your appearance.
And if you're age 20 and can free rebirth, you shouldn't 'think' about it, you should just do it.
All there is too lose is the small amount of stats you gain from leveling, but you're able to gain that back, along with more stats with the skills you rank.
Paid rebirthing I'd recommend against at lower levels, unless you doing it to change looks or rebirthing to same age until you can free rebirth. You probably can't level up fast enough to make the money spent worth it.
