Maybe cause Mabinogi was already popular with the forums and with so many forum members on it, more people are getting on it. And this game has lots to discuss.

Whataya mean by that? And don't you have to play on Europe mabi?
Also Im a hybrid, trying to go mainly after ranged/melee. And I don't want to level my refining and windmill :(, it's such a pain.
