New computer hates me.

Hey guys,
A few days ago i decided to build a computer and the parts arrived today. It is all top of the line stuff and i paid around $850 dollars for it. Every time i start it up the screen has a green bright tint over the picture making it really hard to see what im doing. Im not sure what to do. I think the graphics card is defective. Ill try to get a video onto youtube to show you my problem. Until then please state your solutions to my problem please.

What kind of monitor?

It might be a problem with your contrast. Try turning that down. Maybe some of your parts aren't compatible.

unplug everything involving video (graphics card, all video cables, etc) and reseat them

It could be monitor or graphics card.
