As far as I care, they're computers.  All that matters is how much data it can hold and the graphics card.
I personally use a mac, simply because all the programs I had on my family were for macs, so I got a mac.  If our family computer was a linux, I would probably have a linux right now.

PC stands for Personal Computer. If a Mac wasn't a computer, you wouldn't be using it like it was.

If you're completely incompitent in owning a PC (ex, you get a virus atleast once a month) then get a Mac. Don't dual boot or you'll break it because you're handicapped.
If you know how to work a computer like an above average person, then go with Windows or something.
If you're really good... Like super good. Linux is your good choice.
