I joined in v10, so I missed out on V8. What was it like?

Exactly the same as now minus the amount of players, events, physics, content released.
It also was much glitchyer and the addon system was really... well whatever the opposite of "idiot proof" is.

I had over 7 varieties of the Barreta Sniper Rifle at one time.

v8's add-ons where all forgeted up there where like 5 files that you had to put inside there own folders.

(and i never saw a scroll bar in the online severs :P )

v8 sucked.  All the crap ons, people being too damn handicapped and not knowing how to install an add on.  Amiga Soundpack (i think that was v8)  and there was a wave of idiots.  I miss when BL first came out/rtb

Exactly. I honestly hated v8 after I got v9. I don't remember any "glory times" with v8 concerning itself.
