how do i make add-ons

can someone tell me how to make an add on? modeling is the easy part but i don't know where i enter the script and i don't even know how to script or know how to post the add-on(s) and make it shoot a certain projectile or drive how i want it to. please tell me how and what do i do and how do i post em. "meaning items, wepons, and vehicles" thanks!
