Numbers on a wheel?

I like to confuse my math teacher... i told him something like
"If there are infinite numbers, then why does time move on? according to the laws of math we would be stuck inside the same second forever. 6:23:01, 6:23:011, 6:23:0111 and on and on."
And he kind of thought about that for a while and told me i think too much.
